Well, I had wondered when the Niemöller poem was going to reach me. It's sooner than I expected.

I don't recall donating to anything that was specifically anti-fascist, but I'm sure that there's some kind of connection to be made. I've certainly spoken out against what I see as an increasingly fascist set of policies... and I suppose this proves me right.

I'm not particularly wealthy so I don't expect to be on the top of the hit list here. But I'm certainly being told not to make myself any more vulnerable.

What this will usher through is the persecution of his opponents. Just label anyone you don't like as antifa, and now they're terrorists. Charlie Kirk turned out to be MAGA Horst Wessel, and now they're going to do everything in their power to dismantle their political opponents, in the name of Kirk.

From an external non-US point of view, it looks like the opposite: the radicalization has been hard to the right. In a post-truth environment where loud speech is the most effective, it is natural for this to be denied and weaponized.
