So the answer is yes, but not to a noticeable amount. Don't worry about protecting your battery life, and charge your phone as needed.

Very cool experiment.
Anecdotally, very happy with a 2018 Oneplus 10, the 80W charger charges it to full in 20min. Will never get a slow charging phone ever again.

My phone has a mode that will charge it slowly overnight during set hours but unrestricted charging during daytime, feels like the optimal solution
