Trump is just another crazy person. It's the junta of followers, senators, congresspersons, that is allowing all of this to continue.

Trump, for all his supposed villany is not a complicated person. He's motivated deeply by greed and little else. That's not very unique really. The authoritarianism is a sideline. Fascism doesnt seem to be that important to him, that seems to originate with Stephen Miller, and is consistent with his resume and the hires from the Heritage Foundation.

Good strategy. Don't blame the king, blame his counselors. It's always the sensible thing to do in an absolute monarchy.
