FDB has this enduring ability to be right and unlikable. He seems to think it is because he is a teller of hard truths, but it's mostly because he fills his pieces with lurid paragraphs like the one about high "DM ratio" pieces which exist only to tell us how everyone will later agree with him in private but not be able to say it publicly.
