if its so critical then how about donating money and letting the maintainer decide where to spend it.

As an open source developer, I'd rather have companies donate the subscription x months than tokens. Money would be amazing, but nobody really supports accessibility which is where my interests and time goes.

I think this gives me a huge idea: what if we could treat tokens as money — or as something like proof-of-work? In the end, a token is essentially a unit of processing value.
